Barnens minikanal är en miniatyr av Göta kanals västgötadel. Här är kanalen bara 80 cm bred och 10 cm djup och den har blivit ett populärt utflyktsmål för både stora och små. Vid Norrkvarns övre sluss finns Kalkboden , med en utställning arbetena vid Norrkvarns arbetsstation under kanalbygget. Där finns även en kulturhistorisk vandringsslinga som berättar hur det såg ut här när kanalen byggdes i början av 1800-talet samt en utställning om arbetena vid kanalbygget.
